Now announcing the return of turmoil...

Mr George's passing pushed the somewhat more mundane details that I was planning to publish here on to the backburner. It strikes me as somewhat more than a seeming coincidence that I was going through relics from the Academy on my return from New Zealand, reminiscing about old times, on the very same day.

While I had hoped to visit the gym, I ended up sleeping in (damn 2 hour time difference does hurt somewhat) and barely made it to the venue in time for finals. The tournament finished up strongly, with a deserving winner. I went out to dinner with some of the players later, which was good fun. I went to my now favourite restaurant in New Zealand, the Tanuki Sushi and Sake Bar. Or was it Sake and Sushi Bar? Either way, the food was gorgeous, some of the best Japanese I've ever had.

On Monday, I flew to Wellington for a meeting. The jury's still out on the success of that. I had dinner with a couple of store owners and tournament organisers that night at Ken's Yakitori Bar. That was also a nice place, but not as good as Tanuki ;) (the new "bar" in restaurant ratings!)

Tuesday was spent in Auckland, visiting stores. There's some promise there for future sales.
